
How the rankings work.
The Rankings are done on a 12 month period. For the following year, when you play that same event, your points for that event are then removed and replaced with your new points for that year. So you are defending points at each event if you have played it the year before.
In addition to points for match wins, one gets "Quality Points" which are points awarded according to your opponent's ranking: see below.
NB: No Quality Points are awarded for unplayed matches won by walkovers/injuries etc-- even if it's not your fault you get no Quality Points). Only exception would be if you already started the match and your opponent is unable to finish because of injury. For those Slammers who have caused 3 or more walkovers in any 12 month period, it is likely they will be disinvited to play in future events.

If 2 players are tied in points after the Round Robin then tie will be decided as follows:
1) Who won the match if between 2 players in same RR division; then
2) Number of sets won; and then
3) Number of sets lost; and then
4) Highest percentage of games won vs games lost. |
